Shopify Black Friday 2022
For Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2022, I led a team of visual and motion designers on the creative and technical execution of five billboards across five major cities, each spotlighting a different Shopify merchant.
The creative wrapper we developed leaned into the DIY ethos of entrepreneurship. We combined hand-drawn type, illustrations and flourishes with the nostalgic texture of instamatic photo frames. These elements were married together with stoppy-choppy movement reminiscent of downshot table-top stop motion animation.

Feel Goods billboard, Downtown Los AngelesThe billboard deliverables were built in five different sizes, each with their own specs and runtimes. This required a flexible creative system that could scale across formats.
The campaign film, produced by an external studio, carried forward the motion and art direction I developed, showing how well the system held up across surfaces.
